A File Manager has been added to the CMS, linked at the right of the CMS homepage. Each staff member will now have their own folder (based on their staffID). They will be able to control their files through the File Manager, with the added ability to delete files, zip folders, and move files or folders. Users will need to be aware that file/folder location changes will effect already linked files or images on the web site once added to a content area. This applies from this point forward, all files previously added cannot be modified.
Previously, the staff directory allowed for two separate images to be uploaded for a staff member, a large and small image. We felt that this was repetitive, so it will only require one single upload from this point forward, however, it will create two separate images from the single upload. The small image is used for Online Classrooms, and the large image is used for the Staff Directory and Admin. Dept. Head images (if no image is uploaded for the Admin. Dept. itself). Any images previously uploaded will NOT be effected by this change.
You’ll notice a new calendar pop-up in use when adding or updating a news article post and expiration date (this also applies to Employment Opportunities and Calendar Events).
The news article attachment image (thumbnail) will display in the CMS, a bug was also corrected in which it would display a ”Remove existing image” checkbox even if an image didn’t exist. Some minor layout changes occurred as well, giving more text editor space when adding sub-headers and content to the news article.
Before, any forms, links, or employment opportunities that were added went to the bottom of the list. Now, it will display the most recently added forms, links, or employment opps. at the top of the list.
